Amanda Hirsh – Board Member, Membership & Outreach Committee 

Amanda is an experienced political consultant, finance director and communications strategist working across government, corporate, political and non-profit sectors, with broad experience in campaignmanagement, research, messaging strategy, publicengagement,fundraising and development. Between election cycles Amanda contracts to Accenture, working in integrated marketing and project management roles with the Inclusion and Diversity team, media and analyst relations,and the technology ecosystem, among others.She is a current staff member with the Michigan-based advertising and media agency-Holt | Bosse, specializing in media and community relations, strategy and engaging digital content. On the political side, Amanda remains active by organizing and hosting training and recruitment events for women interested in running for office, working on outreach to rural populations, the Hispanic community and empowering Generation Z, while building up local Democratic party infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming election cycle.

Amanda was recently invited to join the Leadership Council of Chicago-based Haymarket Center, which provides lifesaving treatment for those struggling with substance use addiction and mental illness. At Haymarket, Amanda builds a development network and engagement among community stakeholders to bridge the organization to the Southwest Michigan regionand forge win-win strategies. She serves as a Resolutions Committeedelegate to the Michigan Democratic Partyand works with the finance committee for Michigan’s 6thCongressional DistrictCaucus. Amanda is a member of Rotary International, and works locally as an advisor tothe Interact student clubs in local schools. In addition to past work with local civic organizations dedicated to assisting women and children in crisis, advocacy and education,Amanda also served two terms as Vice President of the University of Chicago’s Alumni Board of Directors, where she was responsible for alumni event programming throughout the Chicagoland region. Amanda currently serves on the University of Chicago’s MAPSS Alumni Board where she works on outreach and engagement.

Amanda earned a Master’s Degree in social science and public policy from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s of Science from Western Michigan University.
